Serve
Your serve is what wins you the games. If you can serve an ace serve, you will win every point. Most of the time, your first serve is what you should aim when trying to get your serve in. If you don't get your first serve in, it is less likely you will win the point because your first serve sets the mood on how you serve and how good you are the game of tennis. Your serve is the most difficult but the most important skill to learn for tennis. Sure, you can get points from hitting a great shot but you want to strive to get an ace as your serve. If your serve is an ace, the other players whom you are playing against can't touch it, they will try to but they will not be able to. A few extra but important things you should also know and have in mind when you serve is have your left foot be pointing towards the right net post. Make sure your right foot is parallel to the base line and that the top of your right foot is in the middle of your left. And when holding the ball, so it is easier on yourself, hold the ball in your fingertips. That way it will be easier to throw up in the air and more accurate. Speaking of accuracy, your toss should be at the twelve to one. Think about it this way; the twelve on a clock is straight up so think about a big huge clock in front of you when you are doing your ball toss. Is your toss close to twelve or one? Or is it at three o'clock?
