Clinics and Camps
Clinics at the Peters Township Tennis center are a great way to improve your tennis skills. The PTMS clinics usually run for two hours, two times a week. they allow you to interact with other people since the clinics aren't privates. It is also great extra practice for improving your tennis skills. Footwork is also done at the clinics. The foot work done at the tennis center are things that you can do at home, and a great way to quicken you steps out on the court. Camps are a great way to not only practice tennis like clinics, but to see how fun this sport really is! I went to a camp over the summer in Slippery Rock and had the time of my life! There is a 3 day one and a 5 day one. I did the 3 day camp and it was called Andy Findley's Intense Tennis Camp. Now, don't let the name fool you. It's not that intense, so don't get worried. It was my very first time to go to camp, and it is at the top of my favorites list. A lot of the exercises we did helped me quicken my step on the courts and the drills that we did were not only a blast but helped me get in shape and I saw through this camp what I really needed to work on and what I was good at. For this camp, he prepares you for it by sending you a list of what the schedule is and also what you need to do to get in shape for the camp.
